From 4 and up
This play is made on the Netherlands Antilles in collaboration with SKAL (Section di Cultura Arte i Literatura) and foundation Jeugdtheater Poppenspel Bonaire (JEPOBON!). It did run there for several months. We did present the play in the Netherlands in the summer of 2005.

Only the best is good enough for fathers’ goat. Everyday one of his sons goes into the fields with the goat looking for the best grass. But this goat is a rather insatiable one. She eats her tummy full and than cries out load how hungry she is. Father is furious and he send his sons away. But not only the goat is playing foul. On their way around the boys were given amazing presents. Again and again they loose their gifts on the ship of a greedy captain. Fortunately the youngest boy is one too many for the captain.

‘Bricklebrit’ is a theatre adaptation of a Grimm fairytale. This adaptation is written by Saskia Janse. The play is made for two actors and one musician.

In 1998 Speeltheater Holland were on Bonaire and Curacao with the performance ‘Fairy tales about love (Sprookjes over de Liefde). It was clear that the people on the Antilles would like to see more theatre, but on the islands there is no tradition of theatre-performing. In 2002 Jacky Bernabela (SKAL) was in Holland and came to Speeltheater Holland to discuss the possibilities of making a performance on Bonaire. The first result of  this contact was the foundation of JePoBon on Bonaire, This new foundation will take care of the organization, the production and the tours. JePoBon will try to raise funds as well. At this moment Speeltheater Holland supports JePoBon with their knowledge, puppets and the play. In the future JePoBon will be an independent organization. Mrs. Domacassé, first lady of Bonaire, is the chairwoman of Jepobon.
In  2004 the artistic directors of Speeltheater Holland the first play was produced with 2 actors/puppeteers and a musician. In July they opened the play 'Bricklebrit'. After that, ‘Bricklebrit’  played at several places on the Antilles and in the Netherlands.
